Catalina Guzmán and Roberto Santibáñez were nervous. In less than fifteen minutes, the governor of Santa Cruz along with a major, councillors and more than 20 authorities, toured several spaces of his house -made with adobe and roof of corrugated- to tighten a switch and to accept the fact that, after 28 years, the electrical energy entered the intimacy of his home.

Guzmán and Santibáñez have their own home in Villa Diego, a community which is located in the municipality of Buenavista, more than 100 km from Santa Cruz. To reach this area, you must pass at least three fords, two streams and several sandy streets that surround it. Until then came the Company of Electromechanical Services ESE to build more than 40 km of electrical power that required an estimated investment of 6 million of bolivians managed by the government of Santa Cruz.

Julio Matos, director of energy in the Rural Infrastructure Program of Santa Cruz (PIR), said that ESE has done the design of the lines, the laying and lifting of posts in this municipality meeting the deadlines established in a contract. "ESE is participating in the growth of Santa Cruz." We hope to continue working with the Vera family and all their team”, he said.

Miguel Ángel Paredes, head of the area of networks of ESE, thanked the collaboration of the municipal and departamentales authorities who were available to be opened, in some sections, paths and roads for the entrance of the machinery to the area. He said that the staff of the company had all his tools to move and to perform a quality work in this municipality.

Ángela Portales and Julio Anagia, residents of Quebrada de León, thanked that the three entities have worked so that they can receive electricity. He said that a long time ago he dreamt of buying a refrigerator to be able to keep the meat cold, as well as a radio to listen to the stories of his football team: Oriente Petrolero.

According to Hugo Sosa, Secretary of Public Works of the Government, in addition to these two communities, are registered at least 11 neighborhoods those are benefit from this connection and three bridges that recently were built.
